If you read that last post in my RPG, I involved a character that I think that has one of the coolest origins around. I see him as Marvel's response to DC's Batman. He had a movie in 1989, and was portrayed by Dolph Lundgren. In 2004, another movie was released, but not as a sequel. Thomas Jane was taking the title role, and many gave him praise for his performance as The Punisher. He even did the voice talent for the 2005 video game, acting as the movie's sequel, taking place a year later. Now in 2008, Another movie is in post-preduction, with Irish actor Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle A.K.A Punisher. Anyway, when the 2004 movie came out, the soundtrack was spearheaded by the return of Drowning Pool, with a new single called "Step Up." The soundtrack is very good, I highly recommend it. Drowning Pool-Step Up ONE TWO THREE GO! BROKEN! I'm never gonna stop If you wanna step up (Step up) SUFFERING! I'm never gonna stop So if you wanna step up (Step up) You're gonna get knocked down... If you wanna step up (Step up) You're gonna get knocked down (STEP UP!) YOU'RE GONNA GET KNOCKED DOWN!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=wtsgjJxWyNY Bonus video. The video below is my favorite part of the movie. Punisher is ambushed by hired muscle in his apartment. The Russian is played by Kevin Nash. For those who don't know, Kevin Nash is a professional wrestler working in Total Nonstop Action, and is mostly known for his time in WWF (now WWE) as Diesel and in WCW as a founding member of the New World Order under his real name. During filming of this scene, he was actually stabbed. I don't know if they used that footage for the final cut, but by the looks of it, probably not. Punisher Vs. The Russian: |
