"Uh huh," Nancy was saying, "you're meant to be some clarvoiant are you? Of course that's what it is. The real question is how to deal with it. Kill Travis and Reiko so Interpol can't go after them?" Before Rose could answer Nancy shared her thoughts on the solution. "No, it's gone way past that. They're not the problem. Interpol is. So what do we do to stop them?" The military would certainly have a few ideas. She expected the Marines would have been deployed, likely led by an old friend of hers. After a moment she glanced at Rose. "Did I tell you about me and Travis?"

"Rei," Reiko said, trying to get through to the girl, "you're the only one I can trust." Rei looked at her clone, trying not to let the revulsion she felt towards her show. Even though they were litrially sisters Rei could not help but feel a sense of loathing towards Reiko. Her looks and personnality were offputting to say the least, but it ran deeper than that. It was...Rei tried thinking of the right words. Her immediate reaction was that Reiko was some rival, a challenge for her to overcome lest she be replaced and forgotten. But thinking about it Rei wasn't sure what Reiko would be a rival in. Strength, perhaps. She could plainly see the muscles bulging out from underneath the bald headed woman's sleeves. There was a little height and Rei thought age diffirence as well. But the face was the same, no mistaking it.

"How did you know to come here?" Rei asked finally.

"I knew." Reiko shrugged. "After seeing you I knew that you were the one to turn to for help."

Rei's eyes darkened at this. "You saw me?" she asked flatly.

"At the tournament." Reiko held out her hands, trying to demonstrate what she saw. "You were running with something or other I couldn't place. A rifle maybe."

Rei wondered how much her clone knew, thinking it wise not to press the issue. "Why would you not be a threat to me if I did help you?" she decided to asked.

Reiko's answer surprised her. "What makes you think I would be if you did?"

Rei paused for a moment, wondering how she might be in competition with her. Before everything that had happened to her it was easy: as much as she knew she was replaceable she did not want to be by some pale imitation. Reiko, on the other hand, appeared disinterested in anything of the sort. Nancy was trying to push Rei into something to do with law enforcement or the military, but Reiko didn't appear the type. It was apparent any interest in Nancy or Lucian wasn't there either. Reiko wanted her. Rei wondered if that made things better or worse.

"If I explained myself, would that help?" The pleading look on Reiko's face was enough for Rei to lean back and listen to her story.

"Chris," Travis called out, "you want to leave that? We're organising it."

Chris Redfield, one of the members of the Special Tactics and Rescue Service that had since been disbanded, was busy sifting through information he was able to aquire from the FBI. "I've got most of it here. Just putting the last of it on file." Chris reached for one of the files to scan into the computer.

"Give a look," Travis said. "Just a moment." Travis saw what the FBI had told them come up on the computer screen. Chris saved it then stepped aside for Travis to look.

"I heard you specifically asked to work with Jill on this."

"Yep. She's argueably the best unless Nancy was somehow to join."

"Right," Chris said after a moment. Like the other STARS members, Chris was uneasy about the woman. "Uh, no offense. Argueably, because of you, your sister, Leon..." he trailed off for a moment. "Look, there's a lot of good people here." Travis clicked off the files that were up, he didn't want legal docuements he was after what had been pieced together on Rei and Antarctica. "I could go too," Chris said eagerly. Of course he would want to be a part of what was going on.

"Don't need to make it a circus," Travis interjected. "I'm sure I can handle it with Jill."

Chris wondered if Travis was having a go at him before letting it pass. "I wouldn't be able to make you reconsider?" Chris asked. Travis didn't answer for a moment. Instead he searched for the list of scientists that were known to be involved with Antarctica, before pushing himself away from the computer.

"Chris," he said, "I know she's your girl."

"That's not what..."

"She can look after herself," Travis interrupted.

"I know that."

"And I'll be there for her, that I can promise."

"That's..." Chris began, trying to come up with the right words.

"Is that what you're worried about?" Travis guessed.

Chris turned away. "I didn't say that."

Travis didn't press the issue, choosing instead to end it. "We'll need Rebecca's brains here." Travis got up, having found the next best course of action. "I'll take Leon as well," he offered.

Chris thought about that for a moment. "I guess that would make me feel better." He picked up his cell phone and dialed a number. "Barry, it's me. We're on our way back now."

Barry Burton was a big, gentle giant of a man who served as the STARS weapons specialist. A family man, that had been used as leverage against him. He's regretted being forced to betray the STARS ever since. He was greatful they were forgiving of him, and was currently sitting around where the STARS chose to operate from. Officially the STARS were no more, they had since been brought into the FBI as a special unit to seek out bioweapons. They still thought of them as STARS however for old time's sake. He was busy chatting to Chris when he heard someone at the door. "Hold on," he told his friend, "someone's here." Barry's weapon of choice was much like the man himself, a giant of a magnum revolver that looked oddly small in Barry's holster. Not expecting any visitors, Barry's hand rested on the weapon as he went to the door, opening it ajar to see who it was.

"We have them." Marine Force Recon had certainly done it's job well in finding Interpol. With a platoon of tanks and soldiers buzzing around her, Lieutenant Mina Krisa looked through her binoculars at where they hid. "Excellent. Did you uncover anything else?"

"Yes, we believe there are nuclear weapons inside."

Mina's eye widened in horror at this. "Nukes?" she repeated.

"Yes ma'am."

Mina regained her composure and tried to work out if what she had planned would set them off. "Paint the target for an air strike." It was the best way, she thought, rather than a drawn out firefight. "The birds are packing high explosives. They won't blow the nukes will they?"

"Negative."

Well, Mina reasoned as the Marines snuck back, laser designator in hand, she hoped they wouldn't. She got on the radio to order two FA/18s to take off and level the place. A grim satisfation coursed through her body as she thought that Interpol would not know what hit them.
