"I'll explain," Travis said, thinking that's what the two would want anyway. "Rei was a girl I took in, about the same time Uranus here gave me some information on...I dunno. Never really looked at it, aliens, the occult, Rei stole it and when I found out I asked her why she was interested." Travis smirked, knowing how unbelievible his next words would be. "She admitted to being some soldier, and she was going to be used to wipe out the human race." He wisely kept quiet about the part where Rei was sent back in time, but realised that it wouldn't explain everything if he didn't. "That's not the whole thing. You see, Rei betrayed the people who were going to make her do this, then made the concious decision to kill everyone anyway." He paused, trying to come up with the best way to explain it. "The thing is, or was..."

"Our investigations confirm it," Leon said noncommittedly, bailing Travis out and telling Uranus what she needed to know.

"Now then," Jill interceeded, "what can you tell us about Rei? You mentioned there's a lot more to her than we know?"

"I unsure of all details," Sofia admitted to Cammy. "Brain...that is, mind..." She paused, struggling with the words. "It not likely. From my understanding..." Sofia paused again as the phone rang. "Excuse me. Hello?" She listened for a few seconds. "Dat good. We may have thing for you." Cupping a hand over the phone, she addressed Cammy. "It Adam. He found hotel. If like to go out and talk he eager to help."

Nancy brought the Land Rover to a stop, not on Rose's say so, but because they had arrived back home. "Well, you're not at risk of that happening this time," she said. "Lucky considering who we were dealing with." Nancy grabbed the keys and jumped out. "If there's anything further on it give me a call. I have to deal with some personal matters."

"Shit." Reiko threw her arms to the side, thinking this was hopeless. "Fuckers ran off." She headed back to where Jessie and Timothy were.

"Ran off?" the woman asked.

"Yep." Timothy looked like he had something to say, so Reiko left it at that. "I could ask around, see if someone knows them."

"Forget it." Reiko began walking away. "Had it with this shit."

"She's right," Jessie agreed, "that's more trouble than it's worth. Hey," she asked Reiko, "what are you up to now?"

"After some white bread wannabes."

Jessie snorted at this, since the bald woman was pretty white herself. "Yeah? And what? Cruise past for a drive by?"

"Don't need no pussy ass guns for these motherfuckers."

Jessie wasn't about to act the way she had before, but the language around the kid she was protecting was really wearing thin. "You know you should treat your betters with respect."

Reiko's reply to this was the bird. "Yeah, I will, if I ever meet da cunts."

Jessie shook her head and chose to ignore the woman. "How about I take you home?" she suggested, "work on this and come up with some plan?"
