The real person behind the kidnapping of Nancy's son is Vega. He had kidnapped Lucian and slashed at Sakura with his claws, leaving her blood all over the carpets and walls of Nancy's house. Vega has just wrote a letter to Nancy in blood tormenting her about kidnapping her son and writes that soon he will have demands that must be met or else Lucian will die. The letter was left over night in the mail box and Nancy should have gotten the letter by now if she checked. Also Vega has hired special bodyguards to watch over Lucian.

Charlie continues working on the case but it was very easy for him to find out that the kidnapper was Vega, the problem is no one has any idea where Vega is or who was working for him. Charlie comes to Nancy's house to investigate for more clues until he sees the bloody letter that Vega left behind. "Anyone home, if so you better check this letter out. It is from the kidnapper that took Lucian."

Sakura kept quiet as Jessie wheeled her out. She couldn't quite recognize the attacker and kidnapper as Vega as it was dark at the time. She did her best to protect Lucian but she still wasn't strong enough. "There is someone at the door."

*********

"Yeah, okay." Jessie wheeled Sakura out the side before hopping over the fence. She peered around the garage to see that there was indeed someone at the door. Observing him for a moment he reminded Jessie of Philip, he had the look of a soldier. She wondered what he was doing here. "Oi." Jessie flipped open her wallet to show her badge. "Constable Evan. Officer it would be to you." Thinking about the difference between Weatern Australia and Miami law enforcement that sounded right. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

"All units be advised, FBI serving high risk warrent in Foss Park, stand by to assist." Reiko ignored the radio dispatcher, despite favoring the area she was all the way across town, there would be at least half a dozen EMTs closer than her. Her mind was on other matters in any case.

"So should I take the job," Reiko remembered saying, how d'you want it done? Accident? Poison? Execution?" She was able to explain to Albert how it mattered which way the assassination was carried out but he had an idea of his own.

"We're going to set up the target so that when she goes on the attack you can take her out, nice and legal."

"As you say," Reiko said through her teeth. "How many?"

When Albert wasn't sure what she meant Reiko explained how it could be done with one shot, cold, professional, empty a whole magazine into the target to serve as a warning, whatever the client wanted. "We don't care. Just make sure she doesn't talk."

Reiko bit her lip, knowing that it wasn't going to be easy, especially with what she had in mind.

Albert looked on at the terrorists he had hired to get at Nancy, knowing he was in deep in dealing with them but believing completely that it would be worth it if one way or another she could be kept from speaking out against their hatred of religion. "What demands are they making?" he wanted to know. Nancy already knew the reason for the kidnapping, this had to be done right otherwise the set up could fall apart.

*********

Vega looks at his claw dripping with blood and gives a laugh. He had many demands, including World domination and a rematch with the ugly woman Reiko. Vega slowly removes his mask and looks at the scar on his face. The ugly scar that Reiko left on his beautiful face. Vega yodels in anger and vows revenge!

Genesis had followed Charlie to the house. To his luck someone was all ready at the door and he went to let himself be known. "Hi, the name is Genesis. I have heard news that the terrorists that kidnapped the boy are very powerful and I would like to help out since I have experience dealing with at least one of them." Genesis notices the mailbox dripping with blood which does not look like a good sign. Charlie showed Jessie his badge and introduced himself. He also welcomed Genesis' help as the more help they could find the better because time was not on their side. Charlie shows Jessie the ransom letter that he found in Nancy's mail box and reads it.

Jessie might have seen the identification from Charlie but still summized he would make a lousy cop, getting his fingerprints all over the ransom letter. She kept quiet about it though and took it from him, holding it by the corner in the hopes she could still glean some fingerprints from it. "No," she reasoned after a moment. "We know who took Lucian and we know why." Jessie went over to the mailbox. "Someone's playing games with us. Completelty different attitude. It doesn't make sense." She looked to see if there were any obvious clues. The blood would tell them something. "No, I think we keep this quiet."

"Keep what quiet?" Nancy had stepped onto the front porch, her Glock handgun aimed at Charlie. "Who are you?" "Nancy," Jessie said slowly, "put the gun down."

*********

"This is not good.... But I've come to help out on this case." Sephiroth stands outside the room where Lucian was held prisoner. He was on guard duty waiting for orders on whether to let the boy live or slit his throat. Sephiroth looked at Sailor Pluto who was also here too, though he wasn't sure of her motives, he suspects that she could be a spy trying to rescue the boy but he kept quiet for now. "What are you here for, lady? You don't seem like the type to help terrorists?"

"I have my reasons." Was all Sailor Pluto said to Sephiroth, she indeed was here as a spy when she managed to convice the terrrorists to hire here as a body guard to watch over Lucian. In reality she was here to make sure that the boy lives and will be safe. When the time is ready, she will try to drop more clues to Nancy.

Sakura tries to reach to read the letter but she couldn't move from the wheelchair. So she had no choice but to stay there. She recognized Charlie but not the other guy. "What does the letter say? Can you read it."

"You, leave it," Jessie told Sakura. "Nancy, put the gun down. They're here to help." How much help these amateurs would be was something she wasn't going to bring up right now. As it was she wished she had her service revolver, the police officer didn't like these confrontations but it might have helped. It might have made things worse as well.

"Help?" Nancy stared at Charlie for a moment, the Glock lowering slightly. "You want to help?" Her tone made it hard to tell just what she was thinking at the moment. "That right?"

*********

"Will you look at that?" Reiko had stopped to get something to eat and saw the new Snickers bars being advertised. Seemed that none other than Mr. T was being used for the promotion. She couldn't help but smile. Reiko had a thing for him, tough and cool like that, she guessed she aspired to be that way. Normally chocolate wouldn't appeal to her, she was very much a fitness freak, however given who was advertising them she grabbed two. As she did her phone rang once again. "Cunt," she muttered to herself, sick of being pushed about this job. "Hello, ring again about this shit and...what?" Reiko shut up and listened when she heard it wasn't Albert. "What is my take on the videos she put out? How would I know? I don't go for that sort of thing."

*********

"Who was that?" Philip Chambers guessed the phone call ended adruptly. Like everyone else they were doing what they could for Nancy, what they could to find her son.

"Coffee?"

The question struck the Air Force pilot as odd, from what he knew of Sofia she wasn't one to brush someone off like that.

"Sure," he said after a moment. "I can get it." As he left Sofia resumed the video they were watching. "With the active opposition to religion we are seeing today we must be reminded of historical attempts to wipe it out." It was Nancy of course, her speaking out against religion that started all this. "The Germans tried to kill everyone who disagreed with them, including religious leaders. The Soviets actively sought to wipe out religion. Mao, Pol Pot, these four examples are from the past century of the atrocities committed in a bid to persecute religion into silence."

Sofia had seen the videos before, knowing Nancy and seeing how she dealt with an issue the Russian chose to avoid, and began looking at them objectively, how atheists might react to them. Their reaction was fairly clear, she told herself. "Better men and women than those who have an ax to grind against religion had fought and died for the right to follow it," Nancy went on. "Apologetics will try and shift the blame of Hitler and Stalin to something else, or even claim they were religious. This manipulation of the facts must call into question the intellectual honesty of those who seek to succeed where these tyrants had failed." At that Sofia paused the tape, thinking she would help Philip with the coffee. Someone he was seeing was religious, she heard. It was nice of him to aid her in this.

"Bit of a slam against the likes of Richard Dawkins," he opened. "What do you think?"

Sofia weighed her answer for a moment, measuring how she felt about it, what the proper way to comment about it was, before replying. "Nancy took this issue to heart like they have," she told Philip. "She feared children being taken away."

"Looks like her fears were valid," Philip told her. Sofia could tell how angry he was about it, even she felt strongly about what happened.

"I not sure this is about atheism," she thought. "Not like motherland..." Philip spun around, his hand reaching to his hip. Sofia caught it before he could reach for his gun. "I considerate enough to allow that here." Her voice was tight at having a gun in a church.

"Show me some consideration." Philip looked at Sofia and backed off so she could see who it was.

*********

Albert thought about the demands these terrorists had sent out and saw how it could be used to their advantage. Knowing Nancy she would go after the lead and be out for blood, and because it had nothing to do with atheism it couldn't be led back to him. "Now we wait," he ordered.
