Charlie was about to introduce his assistant Genesis to everyone when he heard Nancy tell him to read the letter. Seeing the gun point to him he had to quickly do what he was told before saying anything else. Charlie adjusted his glasses and read what the letter said, accidentally smudging some of the writing with his fingers. "I can't read some of the writing. It says......something something.... Will kill Lucian if demands are not met..... something something..... Reiko...... something something.... Jee jee jee jee jee jee jee jee jee jee jee."

Sakura listened to Charlie read the letter and began to cry. She started having a break down as she remembered that sinister laugh. "That laugh. That's the same kind of laugh on the person that almost killed me and took Lucian. WE HAVE TO RESCUE HIM!"

Once Vega learned that Lucian escaped and that his bodyguards turned traitor on him he was furious. Vega acted too early without Albert's orders because he wanted revenge on Reiko. Vega ordered ever terrorists under his command to find and kill the traitors before quickly taking a limousine to meet with Albert at headquarters. Once Vega arrives he worries about the explaining that he would need to do.

"No," Nancy said, much to everyone's surprise she would have figured. "This is bullshit."

"We know who took Lucian and we know why," Jessie explained. "This is someone trying to take advantage of the situation."

Nancy thought for a moment, remembering something in the note that was familiar, but she wasn't in the right frame of mind to remember what. "Get it analysed anyway," Nancy ordered. "It's still a crime."

"What are you going to do?" Jessie asked her. "First I'm going to put another call out about the lengths these militants will go to." She was referring to letting as many people as she could know about kidnapping being used to try and stop her speaking out against atheists. "Then I'm going to follow up a lead." Nancy went inside to do just that, and Jessie followed when the phone rang. She went to answer it knowing Nancy wasn't in the mood.

The voices within the church carried, and Philip was about to see a woman, a girl more like, who'd walked in when he heard the mention of terrorism. His mind locked onto the comment, before the air force pilot handed the coffee he made to the girl and went to listen. His mind was already processing how to proceed on the matter, he imagined Sofia's was too. Philip saw that she didn't do anything for a moment, it was a big much to take in especially for someone who hadn't been trained to deal with them. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked finally.

Albert was surprisingly calm about the situation, though he was still armed knowing Vega could kill him, easily. "Sending the ransom out might have been tipping our hand," he said. "I know why you did it and it was a good idea to try and draw Nancy out into the open like this. Nonetheless we can still use it to our advantage, she's too stupid and ignorant to realize you weren't behind it all." Albert's voice took on a harder tone at that. "But we need the boy. Her son must be found to be used as leverage against her speaking out against us. Find him, and return him alive." Albert went off to make a phone call. "He's no good to us dead," he warned.

Vega clenches his fists tightly and looks at his claw. He gives an angry look behind his mask wondering when he can he get his revenge and have his fight with Reiko. "I hate that ugly woman Reiko!!" Vega yodels angrily but then returns to talking business with Albert. "I've all ready sent my men to go out and search for Lucian. They will bring the boy back and kill the ones responsible for his escape."

Jessie watched as Nancy jumped on the computer, quickly clicking off what she had up before to start telling everyone she could about the kidnapping, but the police officer saw it and sighed. When she was younger Jessie was into...well not pornography but fooling around like that. To see that her mentor was in such a state she was looking at that kind of material, especially given Nancy was the one to get her out of it, well it was sad. "Hello?" she said, finally answering the phone. "She's busy," Jessie added after a moment. She listened for a moment, her face growing dark. "This is Constable Jessica Evan of Western Australia police...yes it might be out of my juristiction but I'm still a law enforcement officer, and you had just admitted to committing the crime of kidnapping." Jessie wished Nancy had the capeability to trace the call and looked in on her. At the moment she seemed preoccupied. "You took her son, this only gets harder the longer you hold him."

Reiko knew she needed a weapon if she was going to face Nancy. Airport security had tightened up considerably, it wouldn't be worth the risk trying to sneak something with her, so she made a call on the way to the airport on how she might be able to find something in Miami.

"Sure, we can get you something." The person on the other end was an associate who dealt in guns, a person of interest in weapons smuggling. "Do us this solid and we're cool."

"Where?" Reiko asked after a moment, and she listened to the address. "Thirty minutes." She didn't like the sound of it one bit but she needed the guns.

Sephiroth wanted answers but then he heard gun shots and knew that Vega had sent many armed assassins to kill them for helping Lucian escape. Since it was still dark, it would be easy to hide and outrun them, so instead of fighting back, the group found a safe place to hide in the forest and inside a dark hollow cave that they could all hide out. "I think we've lost him now can you explain to me about Vega and what is his real plans?"

Lucian had chosen to keep quiet all the way through the ordeal, believing his mother would think it best he do that so his kidnappers couldn't see they affected him, couldn't get any information from him. As it was, he was more confused than scared, and he was scared quite a bit. The people who took him kept insisting there was no God, that he was to give up any beliefs in God. To Lucian it was something of a non issue...he figured her mom was religious but it was never something that she made any big deal about, and as much as he wanted to deny the accusations about her and say she raised him well he kept quiet, not knowing what they were talking about. Now that they were away Lucian felt his voice returning and after being asked something directly spoke up. "You're a bad person," he said to Sephiroth. Lucian knew, by intuition or something else he wasn't sure, that despite never meeting him before, and the fact he helped in the rescue, that there was something very wrong about the man, or so the eight year old boy thought. Maybe it was the clothing, or the hair, or maybe he was thinking there was something off about his manner, Lucian didn't think he was reading too much into it and it gave him the creeps. Enough so that he took a couple of steps towards Sephiroth, before quickly stepping back to Pluto, thinking better of it.

"Is Nancy Allen there?" Albert demanded when he didn't recognize the voice on the other end of the phone. "Telling everyone how evil atheists are because we took her son no doubt." He listened as Jessie threatened him impotently.

"Oh I don't think you have the power to do anything." Still the silly woman didn't seem to want to see reason.

"Yes, we took him away so that he couldn't be abused by religion." Albert ignored the continued blustered threats. "We won't be holding him much longer, the boy will be sent to atheist parents where he will be looked after properly, that is if Nancy does as we tell her." Albert then demanded that she be put on the line.
