It is now official as I can't update the game anymore from googleplay that February 25, 2020 means the game is dead to me as I can't upgrade my old os or buy a new phone |
Are you sure there is no way to update your phone because all phones have an update option |
No there is no more updates for my phone and it can't go any higher than os 4.4

You can still update your Android operating system. Use TWRP to flash Lineage and your prayers will be answered. The only drawback is the reduced battery life.

If you didn't obtain the characters in the time limited events you can obtain them now in the permanent character quest events which are a lot harder

Some of those individual quests are much more difficult than how to obtain them originally which was just obtaining points in a limited time event
