Random Thoughts With SuperBeast March 2020

Well, it's 2020. Almost four months in, and the world is in shambles.

For the love of god, wash your hands. Warm to hot water, get 'em wet, put soap in them, and scrub, scrub, scrub. Preferably with an antibacterial soap. Basic shit, boys and girls.

Practice social distancing? Shit, some of us have been doing that for years.

If I drank beer, I'd be so fed up I wouldn't even drink Corona. I'm a whiskey/scotch guy. I prefer Crown Royal, Jameson, Egan's, or Johnnie Walker.

My favorite convention, Texas Frightmare Weekend is the latest to get postponed. I'm fine with this. It got pushed back to September. Plenty more time to save up for autographs and merch, and to get the rest of my outfit ready. Not too crazy about contacts in my eyes, but I want authenticity.

I was going to a concert on April 9th, but that's postponed as well.

In these shitty times, try to be kind to one another. Except if that person is dogshit inside and out, then cough around them.

I recently picked up a modded original Xbox with CoinOps8. It also has some other emulators on it. So I paid $110 including shipping for about over 4200 games. I just wanted it for MAME. I intend to continue on collecting the original cartridges and discs, I just love this damn thing right now. If I have to quarantine, at least I won't be bored.

My job hasn't shut down yet, which is good I guess, but I'm still around people.

Before all this madness began, I went to the movies and seen the Impractical Jokers movie. I was disappointed, because it was still PG-13, and it just felt like watching a 90 minute episode. Nothing more, nothing less. Was just kinda meh.

I think we need a new banner. Not a banner representing that god-forsaken retarded movie, but one for the regular folk here. I'm thinking one of the commissions, or the box art for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.

I have to think of a song for SuperBeast Singles 100: The Final Volume. Hey, don't look at me that way. Once Zane comes back, I'm back into retirement from here.

Due to the virus, airfares are cheap as shit. From Dallas to Newark, I found a round trip flight for literally $57. However, that's from Spirit Airlines. Spirit Airlines is like the Great Value brand of flying. Hard pass on that. American Airlines had one for about $97. But who the hell wants to be trapped on a plane with someone who could possibly be affected by the virus? Fuck that.

That's just the companies showing their true colors. Profit over people. My job was deemed essential because of the aerospace infrastructure.

My friend has the same problem. She has elderly family members at home but the HR is telling her that she must come back to work or else. She chose to stay home. A job can be replaced but not a family member

You can see who you can trust as there are people on both extremes. One end there are people who volunteer to make sure others are okay and on the other end there are people who are heartless and care only for money even scams

If safety is an issue then look for an employment lawyer
