Vega is the most righteous!

You remember last year, I found those ROMs of the Bucky O'Hare NES game in Chinese and in Korean, and -with the Chinese version winning the vote to go first- they went on to being the first two achievements for my airings in Balrog Bashing Month?

Well, I have good news: I have downloaded an IPS patch, to play the game in Spanish! As such, yes I am preparing it to be the first pre-airing gaming achievement, for when I next host an airing celebration. Let's make the Spanish Duck

proud!

I will have to use the Vega avatar and, yes, the Spanish flag for my profile. But for anyone else supporting the Cammy binge, I will certainly edit my Facebook profile accordingly - I do have pics of Jay and Kylie...

Bad news, though, for anyone hoping that the Finnish flag will be raised atop of the Righteous Indignation - I tried an IPS patch to play the game in Finnish, and it fucked the game up -_-

Which could be another reason, why modern games have a subtitles option? IPS patches can modify retro games, including the language.

If anyone here makes IPS patches... then providing it doesn't fuck the game up, then I wouldn't mind playing the Bucky O'Hare game in Thai... Bison

Again, that would be the subtitles and language option. I once actually tried the Spanish voiceover, for one of my pre-airing gaming achievements when I was 24.

But in case anyone asks... I used a US version of the game, as the target for the IPS patch - so no, it won't automatically go into hard mode, even if you pick the easy/normal/default/whatever you call it mode. Remember, the only one which I've found does do that, is the Chinese one - which, due to the instant hard mode, I suspect to be one of those super-pirated ROMs. This is likely why I could never find the Bucky O'Hare NES game, on those pirated multi-carts I bought in Lanzarote and in Gran Canaria.

Like with some other games in line for airing celebration, for Bucky O'Hare I would use the hard mode to prep the game... then use the default mode thenceforth, including of course when the time comes to complete it. I have a few cheat-based tricks in dealing with the hard mode - so for anyone who's up for the challenge, I suggest going for it via emulator.

Then we can only hope for an anthology of all three Bucky games (NES, arcade and LCD), and/or more IPS patches for the NES game. An Al Bhed translation could be interesting?

, who is the level 5 boss on the Bucky O'Hare NES game - and my starship is (what else) the Righteous Indignation! I mean, there is an option to give the hero 4 arms - but why have regular Duck

as the hero, when you can have his brainwashed self?

That is up to the interest of fans. A lotvof Japanese games have been translated to English even if it is not official

I have actually seen screenshots, of the Bucky O'Hare arcade game in Japanese. If only there was a ROM, then yes I would like to try it.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking! If only I could find it soon, then it would be the second achievement for next time (right behind the Spanish Bucky O'Hare NES game, naturally) - otherwise, it would be the first for any other celebration I may host...
