It's good-ish news - the vet decided not to euthanise Yoshimoto. However, they will instead send him to the charity (presumably Cats Protection League, a purrfect charity here in the UK), who will rehome him if he survives. No official diagnosis was given, though.
And no, they do not think I was being irresponsible - quite the opposite, really! I did whatever I could to save my sick baby, he was only 3 but his illness was very strange indeed. This is the first time when a Farrell feline had to be rehomed - previous cats either died, or went missing. But if at all possible, good luck in your new life Yoshimoto Imagawa Farrell b. November 13 2017.
Mom has also indicated that, even with the pandemic still on, yes we could consider the option to talk kittens - she posted on Facebook this morning, asking if any kittens are available. Feel free to start suggesting traditional Capcom names, please!

I hope so too. My family has been using that and other vet practices for years, we trust their judgment. This one, we've used for a few years now - they even sent a 'get-well card', when Mel had his 'operation' in 2012.
There were some idiotic comments, from one or two stupid nay-sayers - including claiming I was Munchausening poor Yoshimoto, because of him turning out so skinny; as well as frowning upon the vet's decision to send him to a charity and rehome him if he can be saved, instead of returning him to me. Seriously? They've obviously been 'seeing' everyone who makes 'those' accusations against Jay!
Sure, the vet opting to hopefully save and then rehome your sick cat and knowing you were being responsible for it, no matter how hard you tried, instead of making the hard decision is a first for me - has anyone else here ever experienced this? Thank goodness, how some people knew I was in the right no?

I've uploaded a picture of him in my personal gallery, if anyone wants to see - again, most likely Kunzite might want to, as he has said Yoshimoto "is indeed very beautiful". Like how Soma noted about Blinky's final pictures, yes poor Yoshimoto somehow became very skinny...

One of the nay-sayers also grumbled about me getting Jasmine, so I hid his comments (their group has a 'don't block the admins or else' rule -_-) . Cheeky buggers, I know - I hope both Rauls (Julia, and Farrell) haunt them...

I hope so too, especially as mom says the breeders he came from weren't very nice people (maybe that could have affected his sickness?). But I'm sure he knew I loved him 0:-)
