The SuperBeast Chronicles 27

While the two on two brawl ensues, Raiden decides to intervene. His powers are at an almost non-existent rate here in Outworld. He is mortal. Risking his own life to help out Earthrealm, he appears in a flash of lightning.

Raiden: Enough!

The fighting comes to a halt.

Raiden: Sub-Zero is not your family's murderer. Quan Chi had made it seem like it was. But it's real easy for a man such as him to sneak into the Lin Kuei's domain and gather their belongings and plant it there.

Scorpion looks over to Quan Chi, who was smiling devilishly.

Quan Chi: Oh, Raiden...always here to spoil my plans. Always here to help your precious Earthrealm warriors. Fine. I'll admit. I did it. I needed your vengeful soul to help Shao Kahn take over the realms and ensure utter domination.

Shao Kahn appears behind him. He takes his war hammer and caves in Raiden's chest, sending him flying to the ground. Cammy runs over to him and checks on him. Coughing up blood, he knows he is fading away. Shao Kahn and Quan Chi circle around Sub-Zero and Scorpion. A flurry of punches and kicks emerge, and leans in favor of The Outworlders. Quan Chi launches a flaming skull towards Scorpion, sending him hurdling down to the gravel. Sub-Zero tries to withstand the double team attacks of Kahn and Chi. A high kick from Quan Chi sends Sub-Zero into a murderous right hand from Shao Kahn.

Shao Kahn: Earthrealm will be ours!

Quan Chi: You will all worship our lord Shinnok!

Cammy holds Raiden's head in her lap. His eyes glow white and he lets out a deep exhale.

Raiden: Go now...child. Help is on it's way...

Raiden was letting out what was left of his power to Kahn's castle. Kitana notices it and follows it.

Kitana: Raiden? It can't be...

The aura floats into a room as Kitana follows. The room led to Mike who was still strapped to a table sweating profusely. His body is filled with the energy withdrawn from Raiden. He hears a voice inside his head.

Raiden: My physical body is dying. Your time is now. When my voice leaves you, you will be back at full strength. This is not a battle for you. Not a battle for your wife. This is a battle for your world. Your friends will not survive. Michael, Kitana will lead you to where you need to be. Michael, AWAKEN!

Mike's eyes quickly open. He looks around and sees Kitana undoing his binds and setting him free.

Kitana: Go! Come on!

Mike shakes off the sickness. His eyes went from blue to red.

Mike: Kahn...Shao Kahn will never take my world.

Mike runs out and is guided outside by Kitana, who they both see Shao Kahn and Quan Chi slowly dismantling Sub-Zero. He runs with great speed and goes into a jumping sidekick He nails Shao Kahn in the beefiest part of his shoulder, startling him.

Shao Kahn: What!?

Raiden fades away from Outworld and out of Cammy's lap. Cammy stands alongside Mike and helps Sub-Zero to his feet. Cammy kisses Mike on the cheek, welcoming him back. Shao Kahn and Quan Chi begin sizing them up, overconfident in their own power.

Mike: You just fucked with the wrong realm.

Team Earthrealm gets into fighting positions. Team Outworld charges them. The battle for existence showed no signs of slowing down just yet.
