Fire trucks begin to show up. They begin the procedures to put the fire out.

Mike: Dan, go make sure no one is in the way, I'm gonna go in there and check it out. Make sure people are far back, we don't know if the backdraft goes further!

Dan agrees and rolls away. Mike shakes his head and goes into the burning building. Minutes seems like hours, he comes out with a woman.

Mike: You okay?

Woman: My daughter is in there! Please get her!

Mike: We'll get her, but go to the ambulance and get yourself oxygen.

Mike goes back in to the third floor. He hears a little girl crying.

Mike: Where are you!?

He goes into another room and finds a little girl holding a scared cat. She's crying as well. Mike signals to come to him. She takes a step and the floor gives way. She's holding herself with one hand and her Calico in the other. Mike dives to get her hand and pulls her up and over. The only way out due to the debris and smoke is through the window. He picks up the girl and her cat.

Mike: Hold onto me, okay? I'll get you and your cat out of here.

Mike faces his back to the window.

Mike: Please, let this work...

Mike holds onto the girl, whose cat is protected inbetween them. He falls back, falling three floors down. He crashes through the roof of an ambulance.

Ambulance driver: HOLY SHIT! Hey Larry! Get Sal and Murray, this guy just fell through the fucking ambulance!

Mike makes sure the girl and her cat are okay. They are.

Mike: Stay here until your mommy arrives.

The little girl puts her cat down and hugs Mike.

Little girl: Thank you.

Mike hugs her back and scratches the cat's ear. He gets out and runs back in past firemen.

Fireman: Hey! Are you fucking nuts!

Mike wipes the ash from his face so the fireman gets a look at him.

Fireman: Oh god, it's you. There's one more on the top floor, apartment F5.

Mike nods and runs up the stairs. He goes and finds the apartment, and he finds someone there wearing a robe.

Mike: Sir! We gotta get out of here now! This place is gonna go up! Sir?
