The SuperBeast Chronicles 36

On his back, leaning on his elbows, Mike gets a good look.

Mike: Oh shit, it's you!

Jin: Fight me! This is our destiny!

Jin tries to stomp Mike, who rolls out of his way. Mike gets to his feet. He puts his hands up, and by the time he can get the cobwebs cleared, Jin slides over his an elbow to his ribs, following it up with a knee to the stomach, and a right hand to the jaw. Mike falls to the floor, which is starting to give way. Jin crouches over Mike, and grabs him by the shirt. Out of instinct, Mike boxes his ears. He grabs the back of Jin's neck and slams his head to the floor. He does it again, sending him through it. The floor gives way and they fall. Mike lands on his back while Jin falls face first. Mike rolls over and sees a fireplace poker. He grabs it, and tries to strike Jin with it. He moves. Jin is quicker. He goes for a kick to Mike's head, who dips away from it whilst getting to his feet. Using the fireplace poker, he blocks a forearm shot. He jabs the poker into Jin's midsection. It pierces his skin as Mike pulls him in, impaling him on it. Jin looks at Mike, who notices a spark emit from Jin's eyes. He spits blood in Mike's eyes. He takes the fireplace poker out from his midsection, and throws it to the floor. He grabs Mike and headbutts him, before throwing him out the second floor hallway window. He falls onto the street, sliding until he hits the curb. Jin looks out towards him.

Jin: We will meet again. One of us must die, and this is not the proper time.

Mike sees him spread wings and take flight away from the burning building, before suddenly losing consciousness. Dan runs over to Mike to try and check on him.
